Mrs. Munson M. Elder, a well known and highly esteemed christian lady resident of the North Corner, Clarion township, passed to her reward at her home last Saturday, July 31, 1920, aged 65 years.

She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Crooks, and was born in Clarion township. She was united in marriage with Mr. Muson [sic] M. Elder, who now survives her to mourn the loss of a devoted wife.

She also leaves a family of nine children, five boys and four girls, who suffer the loss of a loving mother.

She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Charles, William, David and Grant Crooks, all of Clarion township; Mrs. S. C. McClain, Marienville; Mrs. Archie Miller, Brookville, and Mrs. Joseph Armagost, Clarion township.

Mrs. Elder was a true Christian woman having been converted in a revival meeting held in the Fox school house, near her home, several years ago by Rev. W. H. Haines. Her funeral was held last Monday morning at Asbury Church, the services being conducted by Rev. W. R. Ross and Rev. W. H. Haines, and interment was made in Asbury cemetery.
