Daniel Clark, 72, died Sept. 10, 2001, at his home in Chaffee, MO.
Born Sept. 28, 1928, in Hagenville, Ark., son of the late Henry and Alice Johnson Clark, he trained with the U.S. Navy Training Center in San Diego, Calif., and served with the USS Doran, Squadron 41 and at Nob, Guam, Mare Island. A recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the China Service Medal, he had served as apprentice seaman, seaman second class, seaman first class and commissaryman seaman during his service from 1945-49. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 41 years before retiring and was a member of the Chaffee Elks Lodge, VFW Post 3127 and Trainmen's UTU.
On Sept. 23, 1950, in Piggott, Ark., he married Audrey Faye Leggett who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Teresa Clark; two daughters and one son-in-law, Angela McGuire and Sharon and Don McCarty; two sisters, Hazel Storms and Myrtle Proctor; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Six brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Visitation was at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where an Elks service was scheduled.
Services were conducted at the funeral home with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating.
Graveside military rites will be conducted at the New Morley Cemetery in Morley.
