Silas was a local Rancher/Farmer in Dudleyville, Arizona and built the first Drive-In type Cafe along the Old Highway 77 in the mid 1950's about 4 mile South of Winkelman. Later it was a Bar and still stands today and now known as the Valentines Trailer Park.

Service for Silas C. Valentine, 64, who died Monday at University Hospital in Tucson, will be at 9 a.m. today (Thursday) at Walker's Globe Mortuary. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Valentine was born in Sweetwater, Texas and had lived in the Globe - Winkelman area since he was 14. He was a retired Dairyman.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Lacy of Winkelman and Rodge Sorsby of Arroyo, California.
