David A. Frushour, youngest son of George and Mary (Byrkett) Frushour, was born in Miami County, Ohio, January 30 1846. His father is a native of Virginia, while his mother was born in Ohio. Young David managed the home farm until reaching the age of eighteen years when he enlisted in the Eighth Ohio Cavalry in 1864, and with his regiment took part in various raids in the vicinity of Charleston, Va. He served until the close of the war, and received his final discharge with the regiment at Camp Dennison, Ohio, July 30, 1865. March 1, 1866, he married Miss Susan Reiber, also a native of Miami County, Ohio. They are the parents of four children, viz., Joseph, Deliliah, Rosella and Harry. Mr. F. moved to Wabash County in 1872, and since that time has continued to improve and cultivate the premises upon which he resides.
