Cora (Lee) Stone. Passed away December 15, 2008 at Stoney Brook Retirement Center, Manhatten.
He was a farmer and dog breeder in the Leonardville Community before
retiring and moving to Manhattan. He was a member of the Manhattan Eagles
Lodge. He married Bonnie Hollowell on March 9, 1940 in Ozawkie. She
preceded him in death on July 7, 2007. He was also preceded by one son,
Neil Thomas Stone and one sister, Marcia Stone.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen Egts and husband Jim of Manhattan
and Barbara Robinson and husband Gary of West Des Moines, Iowa; one
brother, Merton Stone and wife Barbara of Clay Center; six grandchildren;
and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Holmes-
Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley. Burial will be in the Leonardville
Cemetery north of Leonardville.
Respect calls may be made anytime Tuesday at the funeral home. The family
will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
