Son of God, precious child of Charles and Lucinda (Cindy) Harris, brother, grandchild, nephew, brother-in-law, uncle, friend to many passed into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital after a courageous battle following an automobile accident. Paul was a 2006 graduate of Great Bridge High School and was attending Tidewater Community College. In Oct, 2005 he finished the requirements for his Eagle in the Boy Scouts of America. He and his friend, Matthew Faircloth celebrated with an Eagle Ceremony in August of this year. Paul was a soccer player, body boarder, guitar player, steadfast, snowboarder, jet skier, fisherman, and all round active guy. Paul adored his nephew, Morgan, and nieces Ella and Gracelyn. Paul is survived by his parents, Charles and Lucinda Harris his sisters; Hillary Harris Taylor (Jeffery), Emily Harris Ackerman (Brian); his nephew Morgan Taylor; his nieces Ella Ackerman and Gracelyn Taylor; his grandparents, Roland and Margaret Wills of Memphis, Tennessee, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him so very much.
He was loved and cared for by so many during this difficult period following his accident: family, hundreds of friends, the many wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and LifeNet for which his family is so thankful. The support and caring words of thousands are helping to sustain us. A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, September 23, 2006 at Great Bridge Baptist Church. Rev. Danny Kesner and Chris Kessick will officiate. A reception will be held at the church following the service.
