From the files of the Flanagan Home Times:
"At the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bertsche, of Remington, Ind., on Dec. 10, 1919, occurred the marriage of their daughter, Luella Barbara, to Mr. Edward Zehr, of near this village.
Miss Nettie Zehr played the wedding march from Lobengrin, and in the presence of twenty-five guests. Rev. Joe Kinsinger, of Meadows, Ill., pronounced them man and wife.
The bride wore a white satin dress, and the room was decorated in pink and white. After the ceremony, the company partook of a 3 course supper.
The happy couple left immediately on a wedding trip to Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Bluffton, O and end about March 1, will set up housekeeping near Meadows where the groom and [sic] eatlmable [sic - amiable] young man (a son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Zehr) will carry on farming."
