Randall James May, age 27, passed away at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, Minn. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008.

He and his twin brother, Ryan, were born Feb. 15, 1981 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids to Floyd and Janice (Lindenfelser) May of Elk River.

The May family lived in Elk River until Randall was three years of age. In 1984, his parents purchased and moved to a farm near Rush City. In 2004, Randall purchased his own home near Pine City.

Randall attended Rush City schools and graduated from Rush City High School in 1999. He enrolled in Central Lakes College at Staples. There he earned Dean's List distinction each semester and received his diploma in Machine Tool Technology in 2001.

Upon graduation he was employed at Branch Manufacturing in North Branch as a die maker. From 2002 to 2007 he worked as a model maker at Guidant Corporation/Boston Scientific in St. Paul. At the time of his death he was employed at Advance Design in Pine City. In addition, Randall owned and operated his own business, May Machine, from his residence in Pine City.

He enjoyed traveling, boating, camping in his fifth-wheeler, snowmobiling, participating in tractor pulls and socializing with his friends and family. He took great pride in his toy tractor collection and was a master mind when it came to computers and electronics. Most of all, Randall loved children, especially his nieces and nephews.

Randy was a kind, sensitive, creative and caring person who will be forever loved and greatly missed by his family and friends.

Randall May is survived by his parents, Floyd and Janice May of Rush City; sister and brother-in-law: Dana and Shane Erickson of East Bethel; brother and sister-in-law: Jason and Becky May of Rush City; nieces and nephews: Dathan Pearson, Kaylee and Kole Erickson and Meghan and Spencer May; maternal grandparents: Herbert and Mary Ann Lindenfelser of Aitkin; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Ryan, paternal grandparents Lloyd and Irma May, uncles LeRoy, Richard and Myron May and Rusty Reed.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rush City with Father Peter Richards presiding.

Music was provided by pianist Dianne Kirchberg and soloist Diane Volk. Honorary casket bearer was Dathan Pearson. Active casket bearers were Brian Schillewaert, Brad Schillewaert, Jerome Erickson, Sam Umbreit, Jerome May, Brenden May, Aaron Ditter and Craig Moulton. Interment was at St. Albert's Catholic Cemetery in Albertville.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service, Olson Chapel in Rush City.
