Funeral services for James Peter Hansen, 70, were held Monday afternoon in the Elsinore Ward Chapel.

Bishop Joseph Hubbard officiated. Speakers were Enoch Larsen of Richfield and W.W. Sylvester.

Mr. Hansen died Thursday in Provo after a long illness. Burial was in the Elsinore Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 9, 1876, in Ephraim and married Josephine Jacobsen, Jan. 3, 1902 in Richfield. They lived 23 years in Elsinore and in 1926 moved to Hinckley, Millard County, where they lived 18 months. They lived two years in Salt Lake City and then made their home in Richfield. Mrs. Hansen died in 1939.

Surviving are five sons and three daughters; Earl Hansen, Los Angeles; Christian L. Hansen, Murray; Calvin and Keith Hansen, Richfield; Frank Hansen, Dillon, Mont.; Mrs. Janice Jackson, Tooele; Mrs. Phyllis Roberts, Layton; Mrs. Irene Christensen, Redmond, a brother, Orsen Hansen, San Bernardino, Cal.; a sister, Mrs. Fred Lee, Salt Lake City; two half sisters, Mrs. Sena Jensen, Elsinore; Mrs. Taya Knutsen, Salt Lake City; a half brother, Christian Hansen, Salt Lake City.
