- DIED--James M. Shull, in the 75th
year of his age, on Monday evening,
February 8th, at the home of his son.
James, Jr. four miles east of Tipton.
The deceased was born in Clark
County, Kentucky, October 21st, 1822,
and moved with his parents to Scott
Country, Illinois. He came to Cawker
City in 1872, and his wife died at this
place August 10th, 1887. He soon af-
ter removed with his son to the farm
where he died. He was the father of
six children--Mrs. Frances King, of
Topeka, and Thomas and James, Jr.,
of this county now living, and three
having died. Mr. Shull's final sickness
was pneumonia. The services were
held at the home of his son, and inter-
ment made yesterday, 10th, in Prairie
Grove Cemetery.
