16 Nov 1976: Guy L. Reed, 14 S. Park St., Richland, died Sunday in the Lebanon Valley General Hospital at the age of 77. Born in Hegins, he was the son of the late Charles and Minnie Coleman Reed. He was a retired employe of the Reading Co. and had served on the board of health of North Wales. He was a member of the Richland United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Ella Boltz Reed; three sons, Guy Jr., Hatfield; Harold B., Harleysville; James B., Newfield, N.J.; four daughters, Mrs. Theodore Camburn and Mrs. Rudolph Horst, both of Lansdale; Mrs. Raymond Matthews and Mrs. John Hains, both of North Wales; a brother, Elmer, Pine Grove; three sisters, Tillie Zellers and Marie Blecker, both of Richland; Ruby Basesore, Womelsdorf; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
