Susie was born April 12, 1916 in Adair County, MO, the daughter of Edwin Darrow and Ida S. (Keller) Miller. In 1935 she was married to James A. Stewart who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Cleta Marie Risher; two sisters, Etta Sees and Alice Lowe and three brothers, Jesse, Warren and Clay Miller.
She is survived by one son, James A. Stewart, Jr. and wife Betty of Pensacola, FL; two daughters, Debbie Idamae McCullock of Hydro, OK and Janet Susie Lefler and husband Aaron of Brookville, FL and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Susie was raised in and atended school in Adair County. After her marriage they made their home in Hurdland, MO before moving to a farm 1/2 mile from the Sabbath Home Church where they lived for all their married life. Upon the death of Cleta Marie, Susie moved to her sons home in Florida for three years and then to Oklahoma to be with her daugher Debbie.
Susie was a member of the Sabbath Home United Methodist Church where she enjoyed cleaning thechurch, sending cards out and taking food to the sick. She enjoyed her children, watching wildlife and living in her country home.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 4, 2004 at the Sabbath Home Cemetery north of Brashear,MO.
