Grandfather of Steve Mee (Erin), Robin Mee Moore (Derick), Sally Mee, Kathi Mee Herick (Dave) and Jeff Mee (Marie). Jim was born in Somerville, Butler County, Ohio. He graduated from Hamilton High School, where he was known for his oratorical skills, in 1915. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He moved to Dayton in 1920 to live with his paternal Aunt Anna Mee Atchley. Jim married Lyvirgia Kitchen in 1925 -- they met at a dance in Germantown, Ohio. Jim worked for many years as a salesman for Sunshine Biscuit in Dayton. He and Lyvirgia retired to Florida in 1956 to a house they built on Lake Macy in Volusia County. They lived next door to Jim's sister Dorie (Marie Mee Seiler) and her husband Doc (Marion Seiler).
