Gertrude Ellen DuPuy was the ninth and youngest child of Mary Richards Haskins and John DuPuy. She was born June 27, 1841, and died at Derby, Connecticut, in June 1902. She married Henry Shelton Sanford. Gertrude and Henry Sanford had the following children:
