A message was received Tuesday morning announcing the sudden death of Tom H. White from an heart attack suffered as he served as night marshal in the town of Lucedale, Miss.
Mr. White, a former resident of Leakesville for a number of years, had many friends here who were shocked at his going.
Funeral services were conducted in Lucedale Tuesday afternoon.
Immediate survivors are his wife, three sons, Thomas White, Wilbur White, and Clinton White; Mrs. Raymond Ramsey and Mrs. James Wimpy, all of Mobile, Ala., his mother, Mrs. "Bud" Lane, of Lucedale.
