GILMER - Services for Gene A. McCollum, 78, of Big Sandy, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Shady Grove Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. McCollum died December 13, 2008, at a local hospital.
Born March 6, 1930, in Gilmer, he was a self-employed truck driver and a member of the Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Willie Sue McCollum; children, Jerry McCollum, Ricky McCollum, Patti Bruhn and DeRenda McCollum; and brother, Lewis McCollum.
