She came to the Black Hills area about 1914 and married Dionysisu "Tony" Birnbaum on Oct 1, 1916 in Rapid City,Dionysius Birnbaum Jennie Catherine Campbell. she was a widow when she married him.
Her son John Campbell was born in Il suggesting she was married in Illinois and her husband died there before she came to South Dakota.
They farmed in Rapid Valley until Tony died in Sept of 1966, Jennie continued to live on the farm umtil 1968 when she moved into Rapid City.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, St Johns the Evangelist parish, and long member of Ever Ready Extension Club.
Survivors include fours sons; John M Campbell of Nisland, Fred A Campbell in SC, Joseph in Rapid City, Francis in Nempa CA, four sisters; Hazel Lendicker, Elsie Sisk, Bessie Erhler and Mary Martinson all in Rapid City SD.
