Mrs. Phoebe Deshane Lashomb, 50, wife of Michael LaShomb, of 34 Beach street, died at 1:00 o'clock Sunday morning at the family home. She had been ill for the past seven months, death being due to a complication of diseases.
She was born at Waddington, on July 28,1876, daughter of Louis and Julia Barcum Deshane. She married Michael LaShomb, of Brasher Falls, 35 years ago and had since lived in Massena and vicinity.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. James Mahoney, of Saranac Lake and Corrine, of Massena; five sons, Michael, jr., Leland, Vernon, Robert and George, of Massena; and her mother, Mrs. Julia Deshane.
She was a communicant and also a member of the Sacred Heart League of St. Mary's church. The funeral was held from the church Tuesday morning at 9:00 o'clock, Rev. J.M. Bellamy officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.
