Richard A. Rosenbrook, aged 71, of Plainfield Township, passed away November 11, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arland (Anna) Rosenbrook, brother, Arland, sister, Frances (Irvin) Berry. Dick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Lola Rosenbrook; children, Teresa (Abhay) Joshi of San Mateo, CA, Kylee (Randall) Updike of Kearney, MO, Brent (Stacey) Rosenbrook of Ashville, NC; grandchildren, Anjali and Anna Joshi, Alex and Banner Updike, Razia Rosenbrook; brother, Gerald Rosenbrook; nieces, Linda (Elbin) Orellana, Bobbi Sutherland; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Dick retired as the Electronics and Maintenance Supervisor at Smith Industries. He graduated from Union High School and attended University of Michigan where he studied Electrical Engineering prior to being drafted in the Army. He served as a MP in the Vietnam War. According to Pastor Irvin Peill Dick had many Christ-like attributes and was a loving person to all. Dick enjoyed traveling but most of all enjoyed being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Algoma Baptist Church, 10515 Grange Ave. NE, Rockford, MI with Rev. David Fernlund officiating. Friends and relatives may greet the family on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave. NE.
