Rachel Cathleen Apple Faulkner, age 89, of Russellville died May 3, 2004 at St Mary's Regional Medical Center.

She was born January 1, 1915, in Havana, Arkansas, to the late Lee and Anne Thomson Apple. She was the widow of Roy C. Faulkner, was a lifelong resident of the River Valley and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She owned and operated a beauty shop in her home for many years, was a former member of the Current Book Review Club, and a volunteer at St Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne Harmon and husband Bill of Russellville, Nancy Horne and husband Dick of Little Rock, four grandchildren: Susan & John Newton of Russellville, Bobby & Julia Franklin and Stephen & Susan Harmon all of Arlington, Virginia, and Kirk & Sarah Harmon of Lake Charles, Louisiana and four great-grandchildren: Morgan and Michael Newton of Russellville and Alex and Nicholas Franklin of Arlington, two sisters: Mrs. Ruby Graham of Gustine, Texas, and Mrs. Sue Merritt of Dardanelle.

There will be a graveside service for family and friends at 10 AM, Thursday at Oakland Cemetery in Russellville with Rev. Mackey Yokem officiating. Burial by Shinn Funeral Service. A visitation will follow at the home of Suzanne and Bill Harmon, 501 Carden Place, Russellville.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or the Building Fund of the First United Methodist Church, 301 South Denver Avenue, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
