MUIR - Mrs. Dollie Dorey Sage, 86, died Monday evening at a Belding nursing home following an illness of one year.
She was born June 16, 1884 in Orleans township the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius Gilmore. She taught school many years. She was married to Archie Dorey and he died in 1928. She later married Orland Sage, who died in 1962. She had made her home in Muir since 1928.
Surviving are a son Merle Dorey of Belding; one step-daughter, Mrs. Mildred Shepard of Phoenix Ariz; two stepsons, Marvin Sage of Saranac and Benson Sage of Ionia; 13 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 pm at Shaw-Rivett-Hull funeral home in Muir. Rev. Roger Wright of Muir First Christian church will officiate and interment will be at Woodard Lake Cemetery.
