He was born in Chester, PA, to Edward and Annette Radon. He is survived by one sister, Dolores Bucella. He grew up in Buffalo and attended St. Mary of Sorrows School, St. Ann School, The Little Seminary of St. Joseph and St. Theresa of the Little Flower. He attended major seminary at Our Lady of the Angels, Niagara University. He was ordained a priest of the Diocese of Buffalo on May 31, 1947 by Bishop John F. O'Hara in St. Joseph New Cathedral.
Msgr Radon was administrator of St. Andrew parish in the Town of Tonawanda from 1948-1965. From 1965-1972, he was assistant pastor of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Lackawanna, New York. He was made pastor of Coronation parish after that and retired in 1997, but continued to live in Coronation Rectory and to help out in parish duties.
Msgr. Radon was a member of the Clergy Mutual Benefit Society, the Alliance of Consumers and Taxpayers and had served on the Priest's Panel of the Marriage Counseling Clinic of Catholic Charities and as moderator of the Ulysses Grant Division of the Catholic Youth Council. He was in the front lines when there was a need to speak out about justice and the need to serve the poor.
He loved to ski and went on vacations to Aspen, Colorado; Alta, Utah and other places where the skiing was fast, and was often seen in Holiday Valley in Ellicottville NY.
