A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at South Park Cemetery for Jerry "J.D." Castleman, age 75, of Roswell, who passed away November 23, 2008 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center.
Jerry was born December 9, 1932 in Oak Grove, LA to George and Clara Castleman, who have both preceded him in death, as well as a brother David Castleman.
Jerry married Martha Sue Hill on October 24, 1958 in Roswell. She survives him at the family home.
Jerry served his country in the United States Army in the 50's in Bremahavven, Germany. He was a carpenter, a former supervisor of Pecos Valley Village, and an owner of a car dealership. He was a member of the NRA. He was an avid out doorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and boating.
He is also survived by two daughters: Kimberly Castleman Parmenter and her husband Jay from Clovis, NM, and Kandace Thomson and fiance Robbin Ormseth of Roswell; a sister: Eleanor Jones of Delhi, LA; three grandchildren: Kristian Eaton, Seth Eaton and Tarryn Thomson; and one great grandchild: Peyton Pena.
