According to death certificate he is the son of Thomas Webb & Elizabeth Gulledge Webb. Died in Court House Township of acute labor pneumonia. According to the 1880 census he is living with Elizabeth Gulledge Webb and her other three children in the same household with Elizabeth's father and mother Thomas and Martha Gulledge and he is listed as their grandson.
Note: According to Civil War records Thomas Huntley Webb was killed September 14, 1862 at South Mountain, Maryland and his body was never sent home. Robert was born in 1868 according to his death certificate and 1869 according to his marker. Even the 1880 census lists Robert's birth as 1868. I believe they all have the wrong year for his birth.
