Jeffrey Leigh Spence Jr., ascended peacefully into heaven Dec. 11, 2008, at the age of 18.
Jeff was a kind, sensitive young man who shared his gentleness with everyone, especially his nephews, Christopher and Caleb. Love of fishing, swimming and other water related activities were a passion Jeff enjoyed with his much loved family.
His sweet loving nature will be so missed as well as his personal recipe for "oodles of noodles."
His legacy of love will be carried on by his mother, Tabitha Spence Dyess and husband, Robert; father, Jeffrey Leigh Spence Sr.; three sisters, Lynleigh French and husband, Chris, Jessica and Sarah Spence; brother, Scott Motley; grandparents, Christine Wesson, Calvin and Diane Booker, Carol Compton and husband, Kevin, Jack Spence, Burt and Diane Dyess; great-grandparents, Leola Hogge and Eileen Spence; nephews, Christopher and Caleb; aunt, Kelly Moore; uncle, Roane Booker; and a host of cousins including his special "Kaitlyn."
A celebration of Jeff's life, conducted by the Reverend Mike Gray, will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Newington Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Newington Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday December 14, 2008, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
