Donald D. Blacker, 48, of Mansfield, died October 16, 2000 at his residence. Funeral services were held October 20 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Mahomet. Burial was in Monticello cemetery.
Mr. Blacker was born December 1, 1951 in Monticello, s/o Dale and Phyllis Blacker. He married Martha Matlavish on June 28, 1980 in Urbana. She survives. Also surviving are his parents of Mahomet; sons: Ben, Ryan and Patrick, all at home; sisters: Janice Reid and Sandy Spencer, Champaign; and Shirley Drazewski, Normal. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Mr. Blacker was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Mahomet, where he also belonged to the Lake Men's Club. He was a 1969 graduate of Mansfield High School. He was a farmer. Memorials may be made to the Carle Hospice Program or the American Cancer Society.
