Services were May 7 at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, for Dorothy Lawson Gentry, age 73, Crawfordsville, who died May 4 in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. Rev. Tom Carlson officiated. Burial was in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery.

Born Aug. 3, 1917 in Terre Haute, she was a daughter of Fred and Clara (Fisher) Lawson. She attended school at Ladoga.

April 23, 1937 she married Thomas Woodrow Gentry at Lafayette. He preceded.

She was a former seamstress at Gooding Custom Shirts in the Claypool Hotel in Indianapolis.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Robert Lee Gentry, James Eugene Gentry of Mitchell, and Ronald Ray Gentry and Michael Wayne Gentry, both of Indianapolis; two daughters, Sherrill Ann Combs of Indianapolis and Kay Evans of New Ross; sisters, Lora Smith of Indianapolis and Wilma Winning of Bloomington; a brother, Paul, of Nebraska; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A sister and a brother preceded.
