Known during her life as "Ada", she was born 20 Sep. 1878 per headstone (Find A Grave); same day and month, but 1879 per social security death index. The latter year appears correct because it is confirmed by the 1880 census enumerated on the tenth and eleventh of June that year, which gives her name as Adra Ann. Her age is given as 8/12 (or possibly 9/12, poor writing unclear), which was her age prior to 1 June, with Sept. shown as her birth month. She died 25 Jan. 1968 (per headstone, but 15 Jan., same year, per social security death index) at Bagdad, Santa Rosa County, Florida, and was buried at Clopton Cemetery, in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. She married Malachi (Mallie) K. Majors 6 Dec. 1899 in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. He was born 15 April 1873 in Florida and died 1953 in Santa Rosa County, Florida. He was buried with Ada at Clopton Cemetery. Find A Grave memorial # 32566100 mistakenly gives his death as 1950 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida. This seems however to be a different individual named Thomas M. Majors, born in Georgia, who appeared on the Jacksonville 1945 Florida State census with wife, Mary Lou, also born in Georgia. No records have been found identifying Ada Carnley's husband as Thomas M. Majors.
