Rites for Augustus S. Neuman, Knights of Columbus member
Augustus S. Neuman, 81, husband of Martha E. (Amole) Neuman, of 627 Constitution Ave, Stowe, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home.
Born in reading, he was the son of the late John and Otilie )Hotzman) Neuman.
He lived in the Pottstown area all of his life.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Gabriel's Lodge, Stowe and the West End Fire Co.
He and his wife were married 52 years.
Surviving with his widow are two sons, John A. and Barry L., both of Pottstown; two daughters, Brenda J., wife of John Hoffman, of Boyertown; and Aretta H. Neuman, at home; five sisters, Laura Mest, Anna Wien, Tilly Neuman, Bertha Snyder, all of Stowe; and Emma Scheidt, Chester County.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald M., who was killed in Vietnam in 1966.
