Mrs. Clemens, the wife of Mr. Gus Clemens, living near Oakland. Mrs. Clements has been an invalid for about twelve months, and has been confined to her bed for over five months prior to her death.
Mrs. Clements was born in Victoria county, Texas, on the 26th of June, A. D. 1847. Soon after her parents moved with her to this county,in which she has resided ever since.
She was united in marriage to August D. Clements on the 29th of November, A. D. 1867, who still survives her.
Some five years ago she became a member of the Baptist Church, in which she lived a consistent member till her death. Mrs. Clements was an amiable lady, possessing many noble qualities, a devoted wife, a kind and affectionate mother, and lived as she has died, a Christian.
