Mr. Krohn was a semi-retired dairy farmer. He was born the son of William and Vera Kurth Krohn. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Momence, where he was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was also a member of the Ayrshire Association, the Kankakee County Fair Board and Grant Park School Board. He enjoyed watching the Gaither Gospel Hour, showing dairy cows and restoring Allis Chalmers tractors.
Surviving are his wife, the former Rosalind L. Ford, whom he married July 2, 1960, in Shawnee Town; one son and daughter-in-law, James and JoEllen Krohn of Morgantown, Ind.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Yvonne and Jay Rigney of Cookstown, N.J., Melody and Gary Drake of Bourbonnais, Heather and Les Fox of St. Anne, Amanda and Daniel Johnson of Momence; 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his father of Beecher; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty Wolf of Monee, Beverly and Merle Brands of Beecher, Brenda and Tony Doliver of Park Forest; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Allen Kutemeier of Momence, and Bill and Phyllis Krohn of Bloomingdale.
Deceased are his mother; and stepmother, LaVern Krohn.
