Leslie Lawton Kemp, 70, of 3945 Pennington Road, husband of Ruth-Thell Campbell Kemp, died Dec. 4, 2001, at his home.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late Arthur Barney and Ellen Wilbanks Kemp. He was a retired employee of Greenville County Road and Bridge Department and a member of Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Daniel L. and Randall L. Kemp, both of Greer; one brother, Hayden Kemp, of Greer; one sister, Mabel Echols, of Greer; and four grandchildren, Amanda R., Hannah R., Heather M. and Jonathan D. Kemp.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at Ebenezer Welcome Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Steve Stone and the Rev. Gene Turner. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of a son, Daniel, 3939 Pennington Road, Greer.
