Mary Naomi Bench went to be with her Lord on Friday, August 22, 2008, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong member of the Kelley Heights Baptist Church.

She was born April 13, 1917, at Paradise, Texas, to the late Charley Phelps and Julia Reynolds Phelps Fowler. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Gordon Bench, Sr.; two sons, Herman Gordon Bench, Jr. and Julian Deon Bench.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Devoy and Twyla Bench of Dover; two grandsons, Tony Bench of Conway and Clinton Bench of Dallas, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Bench of Russellville; two granddaughters, Lisa Godbey and Gretta Roark of Russellville; and two grandsons, Eddie Pardoe of Warrensburg, Missouri and Mr. and Mrs. Don Bench, of Racine, Wisconsin; three granddaughters, Phyliss Cole of Russellville, Julie Keeling of Atkins and Tressie Retting of Atkins; 15 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

She loved to help people. She had a kind and very loving heart. She will be missed.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008, at the Shinn Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park in Russellville, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
