Keith D. Whaley, 62, of Dayton died Monday, July 15, 2002, in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County. Visitation will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday at Kane Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Dayton Town Cemetery with Pastor Dan Keller officiating. Mr. Whaley was born Nov. 7, 1939, in Ten Sleep to Jack and Vivian (Bader) Whaley. He worked for a time as a mechanic in the coal mining industry after graduating from high school. He married Joyce E. Childers June 21, 1995, in Texas. They later moved to Bear Lodge in Dayton. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Fred; a sister, Lois Ann Simpson; and a brother, Fred. Survivors include his wife of Dayton; a daughter, Kathryn of Worland; a stepson, Wayne A. Deatherage of Guymon, Okla.; three stepdaughters, Melissa Hazlitt and Joyce A. Lafferty, both of Ardmore, Okla., and Sheila Haveman of Ranchester; a brother, Phillip "Buddy" of Conrad, Mont.; three sisters, Jackie Philips of Worland, Peggy Ludtke of Jackson and Nancy Osborn of Seligman, Mo.; and 12 grandchildren.
