Louis Casey, 76, a resident of Russellville, died Monday, September 3, 2007, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He was born January 3, 1931, at Witts Springs, Arkansas to Charlie Lee and Lizzie Melissa Boyd Casey. He retired from the Coleman Company in Wichita, Kansas after 43 years and was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed helping people and mowing lawns for people. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Flossie Kuykendall and Bessie Rickel; two brothers, Leo and Vermon Casey; and a great grandson, Cory Allen.

Survivors include his wife of almost 57 years, Floy L. Casey of Russellville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Louis Casey of Dover and Jimmie Dean and Sharon Casey of Arcadia, Kansas; a daughter, Theresa Nye of Russellville; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Lynn Casey of Atkins; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jewel and A. C. Adney of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Lessie Laymon of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great grand children.

The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church at Center Valley with Pastor Lynn Harris and Bro. Chuck Roach officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.
