Funeral services will be held at the Merrill chapel Thursday afternoon at 2. Burial will be in Highland cemetery.Mr. Foster was born in Ashville, N.C. in 1847, and came west many years ago, finally settling near Portage in 1911.Surviving are six children, H. G. Foster of Floweree, Mrs. Bess Patton of Portage, Mrs. Levada Clemens of Ashville, Mrs. Florence Gilbert of Stockton, Calif., A. L. Foster of Salem, Ore., and Charles Foster of Great Falls, Mont.---Mother: Sarah Hampton, b. Lecister (sic.), N.C.
