ANTHONY FOURNAKIS, 66, formerly of 301 S. Ogle Ave., Wilmington, died Wednesday of complications from a stroke at Parkview Nursing Home, Wilmington.

Mr. Fournakis was an electrician for several area contractors. He retired in 1989. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Charles Durney American Legion Post 27.

He enjoyed attending sports events and watching sports on television.

He is survived by a son, Anthony Jr. of New York City; two brothers, Louis and Angelo, both of Wilmington; a sister, Mary Littel of Wilmington.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday where friends may call after 9:30. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington. Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Wilmington.
