Dorothy Faye Bennett Godfrey, 61, died on Monday, January 29, 1990 at American Fork Hospital of a stroke.


Born July 4, 1928 in Lehi, Utah to Clifford Crosby and Dorothy Carr Bennett. Married Joseph B. Godfrey on September 24, 1947 in Lehi; marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She attended University of Utah and BYU. She was a homemaker. Member LDS Church. Served in Stake presidency of all church auxiliaries. Ward Relief Society president, teacher and visiting teacher, Primary teacher. Member Serimpian Club. She loved family history and was an avid genealogy worker.


Survived by husband, Lehi; sons and daughters, Gary Joseph, Orem; Robert Lane, and Susan Kaye Faddis, both of Lehi; Melanie Ann Coe, Christiansburg, Virginia; 15 grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Bennett, Salt Lake City; brothers and sisters, Richard, Von, Gene, Paul, Jesse, Greg, and Robert Bennett, Beverly Hoggard, Ann Nelson, Linda Brooks, Cheri Atkins. Preceded in death by son, Michael Antone, sister, Clifta Varney, father, Clifford Bennett.


Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 2, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi 6th Ward Chapel, 200 West 200 South. Friends may call at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main Street, Lehi on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and also at the mortuary on Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Burial: Lehi City Cemetery.
