Cynthia C. Day, 56, of Godfrey, died on Dec. 6, 2008, of cancer at her home at Hardin Apartments Care Facility in Godfrey. Born in Jacksonville on Nov. 6, 1952, she was the daughter of the late James T. Day and Mildred Horn Day.
She is survived by her brother, James W. Day (wife, Dotty) of Carrollton; and her sister, Carolyn Downs (husband, Charles) of Ladue, Mo. She is also survived by a niece, Jennifer Day Hooper (husband, Andy); and grandnephews, Ethan and Zach Hooper of Lecanto, Fla. She is also survived by three nephews, James A. Day of Las Vegas and Chip and Justin Downs, both of Ladue, Mo.; and her aunt, Grace Horn of Sanibel, Fla.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey.
Services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of Carrollton, Illinois.
