She developed a tallent for playing the piano, and according to her grandaughter, Pauline Fox she was "a beautiful pianoist".
She was nearly 48 years old when she married George Henry Fox, an Irish American. The wedding took place in her home town, and later they moved to Bangor.
When their first child, Kent Richard was born she was going on 50 (Kent married Marion Louis Gilbert) and when their second child, Madelene Shepard came along she was 51 years old. (Madelene married Benjamin Lewis Roberts)
In 1910 her husband died and it probably wasnt long after that she moved to West Virginia where her daughter was living.
She died in Richwood, West Virginia on Jan. 22, 1920, at the age of 73. Her remains were taken back to Maine where she was buried on Jan. 26,1920. She is buried with other family members at Mount Hope Cemetery in Bangor Maine.
