Janice Potts married William (Bill) Parker, they were married 66 years. They had two children. Larry Parker of Lake City, FL, daughter, Deborah Parker of White Springs, FL.
Janice was the daughter of James Porter and Lucy Augusta Potts.Mrs. Janice Potts Parker, age 88, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Johns Methodist Cemetery, Cottonplant, Florida. Pastor John Harper officiating.

She was born in Romeo, Florida to parents James Porter and Lucy Augusta Potts. She had traveled in much of the United States and had lived in Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Washington, the District of Columbia, Kansas, and Texas.

She worked for the Department of Defense and as a telephone operator in Ocala and Clearwater, Florida.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, 1 son and 1 daughter.

She is preceded in death by half brothers and sisters: Ralph, Elbert, Elton, Hester, Lois, Rennie, and Lloyd; sisters: Hilda, Myrtice, and Marie.
