When I left high school in 1940, I worked for my dad in the bank until I entered the Navy which I served from 1942-1945.

In March 1947 I married Lorraine Uglum. We had one son, Roy, Jr. We had the store until 1952 when we moved to Rochester. Stayed until 1968 when we moved back to Adams. We started up a decorating store which we had until Lorraine died in 1983. Then I sold the store. Now I am custodian at our church.
