Edward A. Hand died Thursday forenoon, July 20th, at his home on Maple Street. Mr. Hand was of Eastern birth, and came to Erie County, Ohio in 1829, moved from there to Townsend, Sandusky County, in 1844, and thence to Clyde in 1855, having lived here since.
He leaves surviving him a widow, five daughters and two sons, all of whom were present at the funeral on Friday. Of the daughters, two live in Sandusky, two in Toledo, and one in Chicago; both sons are in Clyde.
Capt. George Hand of Buffalo, an old Lake Erie sailor, and Heman Hand, of Sandusky, were brothers of Mr. Hand. He was seventy-five years of age.
