Edmund de Abney was the son of George Henry de Abney and Ellene (Wolesley) de Abney. He was the husband of Catherine Ludlam.∼Fourth son of George Abney and Ellen Wolseley, grandson of John Wolseley and Anne Stanley.
Husband of Katherine Ludham, duaghter of William Ludham, Alderman and Mayor of Leicester. They married in 1587 and had two sons, Paul & Dannett, and three daughters, Isabel, Katherine(Wildbore) & Maria/Mary.
Edmund was an admitted freeman of the borough of Leicester in 1594 and a member of Council in 1599. Edmund was buried April 01, 1604.
