Bellwood Newspaper March 29, 1973

Funeral services for Ora Algern Brandenburgh, 87, of Bellwood were conducted Saturday afternoon, March 24, from the United Methodist Church, Bellwood. Mr. Brandenburgh died Wednesday, March 21, at Lincoln.

Rev. Richard Dinsdale officated at the services. Mrs. Robert Bell was organist and Mrs. Gerald Mick was soloist.

Pallbearers were Cyril Birkel, Clyde Cook, Charles Smith, Pete Beringer, Jack Selzer and C.W. Sorensen. Burial was in the Bellwood Cemetery.

Ora A., the son of Algern R. and Martha Herman Brandenburgh, was born Feb 6, 1886, in Bellwood. He was united in marriage to Mamie Bock, who died in September 1962. No children were born to this union.

A retired banker and insurance agent, he was a member of the Bellwood United Methodist Church and a 65 year member of the Bellwood IOOF Lodge.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, he is survived by several cousins.
