Inscription: Relict of Loan of Bennington, VT. She was the daughter of Major Samuel Billings (1738-89) who was a Captain at Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War. Her mother was Beulah Fay (1745-1833) whom are both buried at the Old First Church "God's Sacred Acre" in Bennington, Vermont. On 27 Jan 1784 she married Loan Dewey (1765-1831) son of Rev. Jedidiah Dewey (1714-78) and Betsey Buck (1737-92) whom are also buried at the Old First Church. After Loan died she moved to Rochester with her sons Samuel Billings Dewey and John Billings Dewey.
