Sampson Bole was a Private in F Co. 77th Inf Reg. Ohio. He was captured in the Battle of Marks Mills in Arkansas on April 22 1964. He was put in a Confederate Prison Camp in Tyler Texas, Camp Ford. He died 11 Oct. 1864 at the prison camp. He is buried in Alexandria Louisiana Section 13 Grave 24. He enlisted on 20 Feb. 1864. He was the son of James and Phyanna Hamilton Bole. He was married to Lydia Farnham Bole.
