Rose Lamb Levanger, 89, passed away February 11, 2004, with family present at her side, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born December 7, 1914 in Mt. Carmel, Kane County, UT, the fifth child of Osmer Lamb and Katherine Curtis Heaton. When Rose was eight months her mother passed away and she was raised by her grandparents, Edward and Rose Annaha Stolworthy Lamb.

She graduated from high school in Orderville, UT and later graduated from the EX-CEL-CIS School of Beauty in SLC, UT. She married Clarence Blaine Savage on June 3, 1939. Following his death on September 7, 1943 they were sealed together in the St. George LDS Temple. She married Waldo Harris Levanger on February 13, 1951 in St. George, UT. Waldo passed away June 30, 1988.

Rose loved being surrounded by her family. She took an active part in their lives and was proud of them all. She loved fishing and time spent outdoors with family enjoying nature, especially in Scofield. She introduced each of her children, and many of her grandchildren, to the joys of fishing. She took a great deal of pride in gardening and keeping her yard looking nice.

Rose was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary and in the Relief Society as a Visiting Teacher. She was a member of the Utah Daughters of the Pioneers and loved her time spent quilting as a volunteer with the Utah State Hospital. She loved her neighbors and valued their friendship and kindness.

Rose is survived by her five children: Katherine (Phil) Bird, Robert (Renate) Savage, LaRue (John) Child, Jean (Bekky) Levanger, Kent (Abby) Levanger; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Clarence Blaine Savage and Waldo Harris Levanger; a granddaughter, Stacie Child; three sisters and five brothers.

All will miss mom.
