Anita Holstein Hodges
Maiden, N.C. - Anita Hodges, 84, of Maiden, passed away Dec. 7, 2008, at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Gentryville, Ill., to the late Joe Holstein and Essie Mae Hopkins Holstein.
She was a nurse with Catawba Valley Medical and Catawba Surgical Associate.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Long Hodges; one sister; and three brothers.
She is survived by one son, Randy Hodges of Maiden; two daughters, Glenda Landis and her husband, Ed, of Sherrills Ford and Debbie Robinson and her husband, Kelly, of Maiden; six grandchildren, Allyson Fogle, Clint Robinson, Christine Wilkins, Emily Landis, Kyle Robinson and Regina Hodges; and six great-grandchildren, Cassie Wilkins, Gary Wilkins, Jackson Fogle, Cooper Fogle, Bridget Hodges and Ryan Stamey.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church of Maiden.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following interment in Maiden City Cemetery.
The Rev. Sarah Kalish will officiate.
