Jewel L. Stewart, age 100, passed away on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at a local health care facility. A native of Coffee Springs, Ala., she had resided in Panama City for many years. Jewel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved flowers and working in her yard. She was a member of Callaway United Methodist Church.

Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Stewart. She is survived by her daughter, Debhor Dauphin (Ned); two grandchildren, Gregory Dauphin (Kelly) and Gary Dauphin (Danielle); five great-grandchildren, Jason Dauphin, Tiffany Dauphin, Megan Dauphin, Casey Dauphin and Haylee Dauphin; and two great-great-grandchildren, Tylee Head and Olivia Dauphin.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept., 15, 2014, at 1 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Chapel with the Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and visitors on Sunday evening, Sept. 14, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Covenant Hospice at 107 W. 19th St., in Panama City, FL 32405.
